Dr. Christine Aune grew up in South Texas and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Baylor University in Waco. She then received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed a residency program in Pediatrics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC before specializing in Neonatal Medicine at the National Capital Consortium, in Bethesda, MD.
After completing her military career in the Army, Dr. Aune returned to San Antonio and joined Pediatrix Medical Group as a Neonatologist in 2012. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. She currently works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital where she serves as the Medical Director and also leads the Family-Centered Care and Mednax Developmental and NICU follow up clinics.
Dr. Aune is committed to improving the lives of infants and helping their families thrive. She serves as a founding Board Member for Baby Education for South Texas.
