Dr. William McClain

Dr. William McClain grew up in North Texas and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis on Forensics. He attained his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston before completing residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology through the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio at the University Hospital and the Audie Murphy VA Hospital.

Dr. McClain then completed his fellowship training at the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office in San Antonio.  He is board certified in Anatomic, Clinical and Forensic Pathology and worked as a medical examiner in Dallas County for three years before returning to Bexar County in 2015.

In that role, Dr. McClain has investigated the deaths of many infants and is dedicated to educating the public of the hazards of unsafe sleep and other health and safety issues facing the infants of South Texas.  He serves as a Board Member for Baby Education for South Texas.
